Nos track pista fork crown
New old stock from probably the 70’s Italian pista fork crown. Made for standard 24mm round track fork blades, and a one inch steer tube. 36mm between the blades. The crown is flat.
What sets this apart from modern Taiwan made crowns is the flat bottom. Vintage track bikes often came with 27” wheels and larger tires and needed room for clearance.
Modern crowns have a relief in the bottom for 23mm max tire clearance and no clearance at all. And don't look right on vintage frames.
They haven't made these in at least 4 decades, and when they're gone they're gone forever! Add a touch of style and class to your framebuilding project, or use them for repairs on vintage frames. Make a classic and correct style track fork for that vintage frame!
